parks in the United States! We go out of our
way to insure that our guests enjoy their stays, and our
guests tell us that our efforts are appreciated. If any
part of your camping experience leaves you anything less
than fully satisfied, we hope that you will take the
time to call matters to our attention … preferably while
you are still here at the campground. We will do
everything possible to resolve any problems as promptly

Dogwood Acres Campground Makes the “A” Grade in the
Nation’s First
Consumer Satisfaction Survey of Independent,
Privately-Owned Parks |
Dogwood Acres
Campground was one of only 31 campgrounds and RV resorts
across the country to earn an all around “A” grade in
the nation’s first consumer satisfaction survey of
independent parks, earning an “A” grade in overall guest
satisfaction for the year 2009. The top parks were
announced in Orlando, Florida on November 12, 2009
during an awards ceremony hosted by the National
Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.
Nearly 17,000 camping and RV enthusiasts participated in
the 2009 online survey, which evaluated guest
experiences at 1,840 independent campgrounds and RV
resorts affiliated with the National Association of RV
Parks and Campgrounds. Consumers are invited to submit
their own reviews of private campgrounds and RV resorts
they have recently visited by logging on to links such
as the one below or which can be found at
www.gocampingamerica.com, then clicking on the
“Review a Park” tab. Survey results for many parks are
posted on the GoCampingAmerica website. The
GuestRated.com national online survey program was
launched in February 2008 in collaboration with the
National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds. |

The owners, Charlie and Lucille, went above
and beyond of what they needed to do to make our
stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend
this campground to anyone traveling in the PA
area. The minute we drove into the campground we
knew we had hit the jackpot. It was like the
campgrounds where I camped in the sixties.
Friendly people, lots to do, very clean. We were
so impressed with the campground that we decide
to go back to it on our way home on Labor Day
weekend. Needless to say, they were booked solid
but they told us to come in and they would hook
us up at the house. We also had a problem with a
smell around the camper and thanks to Lucille’s
insight, she realized that our battery was ready
to explode and had Charlie take it out for us
and got another battery for us to use until we
could get a new one. Many thanks to both Lucille
and Charlie for a pleasant stay. We will be
back.

Dogwood Acres is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have stayed at. It is nestled at the foot of the mountains and is quiet and offers something for everyone. We recently camped during the Halloween Weekend and enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked a reservation for next October. Charlie and Lucille are incredible owners/hosts. You can’t go wrong staying here!

The owners are wonderful people! We were tent camping, and we only brought a 25' extension cord. The owner, Charlie, said “that’s not gonna work, I'll bring you one to borrow.” He quickly went back, brought one back to us and hooked it up, told us where the water was, even delivered our wood for us! We forgot our axe, so he gave us one at a discount and a case for it! The owners go above and beyond expectations for you. Plus they were very helpful, and always to be found; if you needed anything, they were there to help! What a wonderful, relaxing, very friendly place. What wonderful people!!! The other campers are very friendly as well! You are made to feel like you’re part of their family. Also, the minute you arrive, you are “delivered” to your site, and you are part of the family already! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

This was our first trip to Dogwood Acres Campground, and it will certainly not be our last. Lucille and Charlie went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect. They become each camper’s friend during the trip and make sure that everything on the campsite is flawless. Their campsite is immaculate. The bathrooms/showers are extremely cleaned and well maintained. They offer conveniences that campers may have forgotten in their store. There are several trails and activities in the immediate area that provide entertainment outside the campground. I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

Great place – we definitely plan to return.
Our kids LOVED the playground. We found it
pretty quiet at night (which is important to us
with little ones) and really appreciated the
visibility of the owners who kept things running
smoothly. The cleanliness of the restrooms and
general maintenance of the campground showed the
owners are proud of their place and plan to keep
it nice. Thanks for a fun weekend!

Charlie and Lucille were very accommodating to our Good Sam Club’s needs. We have some big rigs, and they would ask the wagon master which sites would accommodate each rig as they checked in. This is a beautiful campground with many trees on the campsites, so sometimes certain campers/rigs may not fit. The weekend we were there was very hot, but with the trees, it was quite pleasant to sit outside. Our club really enjoyed the campground and have planned to come back again next year.

The campground is excellent and the service
was exceptional. Our whole family felt like
we knew Charlie and Lucille for years. We felt
like we were doing camping in our own backyard …

Let me tell you … we had a great weekend. The
people at Dogwood Acres are AWESOME! So very
nice. I am picky when it comes to campgrounds,
and I give this one a 10! The water pressure is
awesome. Nothing like a good shower when you are
in your trailer. Our coffee pot broke and they
brought a pot to our trailer. Again, very nice
people, clean campground, etc.
