Day visitors must leave the campground quietly before 11:00 pm. Overnight visitors are limited to the number you can sleep comfortably in your camper or tent. Cabins are limited to the amount of beds. Tents are permitted on trailer sites however tent fee must be paid. Please clear all parties with management before the event is scheduled. You will be responsible for cleaning up after parties. Please advise your guests to walk on roads & not thru sites.

Definition of a visitor: A visitor is a person that comes to your trailer for any length of time: to visit, to eat, or sleep over in your trailer. ALL campers including seasonals must have their guest stop in and register at store. They will either pay for themselves or have a car pass waiting for them paid by you. They will receive a car pass that must be placed on their mirror. They will be instructed to unload at your site. They must park in the visitors parking area. If they need assistance and need to park at your site, please move your car to the parking area. Do not park on your neighbors’ site.

Security Gate: The main gate is closed when the store is closed. Get a gate pass (leave a refundable deposit) to use if coming in late. Do not go around the gate and do not open manually. You break-you pay. If you forget your pass, call the office.

Parental Responsibilities: Adults/Parents will be held responsible for the children camping with them at all times. We are not responsible for babysitting. Please know where they are at all times. If they are not in sight of the adult and there is a problem, the adult/parent will be notified. If there are disturbances that cannot be rectified, management has the right to ask the campers to leave without refunds. Children should not leave campsites after dark, unless accompanied by an adult. Children 12 and under will NOT be allowed at the fishing/peddle boat pond unless they have adult supervision with them. Pool rules will be posted by pool. No one under the age of 17 is permitted to be in the pool without an adult present. Children in diapers should have swimming diapers on while in the water. Children 6 and under must be accompanied by a parent to the playground, walking around the park, and restrooms. Children should not walk or bike thru sites. Explain the hazards of strangers. This is for the safety of the child.

Bicycle Riding: There will be no bike riding after dark by adults/children. Bikes should be ridden on roadways – not thru sites or grassy areas. Pennsylvania State law requires children 12 and under to wear helmets when riding.

Alcohol: Alcohol is permitted with responsibility on your own site. No underage drinking is permitted. Any violators will be asked to leave immediately. Recycle all aluminum cans in proper receptacle.

Rental Equipment & Life Vests: Paddle boats and peddle carts are rentable. NO one is allowed to take either out without paying first and signing the insurance waiver. Children must wear life jackets while on the paddle boats even if they can swim. If you cannot swim you must wear them. If a pet bites another person or animal, you will be put on notice. Per insurance if the owner does not do anything about a biting pet they will not cover the insurance claim. Your stay with Dogwood Acres Campground, Inc. can become null and void with no refunds for early exit. Please keep pets on a leash (even on your site). They cannot be intrusive on your neighbors. The leash should be short. This ensures that the animal stays within eye contact. Your animal must be under control, and quiet at all times. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. This means anywhere on the campground property. Even if we can’t see you, pick it up. We have a poop can for disposal next to garbage hopper. Per the Department of Health, our playground and restrooms are off limits to pets. Do not leave pets outside your camper when you leave your site. We are charging $10.00 a day extra for dogs/cats in the cabins. Stay on campground property. Signs are posted please observe.

Trash Disposal: The dumpster is for household trash only. No bulky items, cardboard, or metal. Put them in the container next to the dumpster. Waste Mgt. will not pick up items left alongside of dumpsters. Please inform management if you need to drop something off that is bigger then the dumpster. Recycle aluminum cans in green containers, for charity.

Sewage Disposal: Direct dumping into the sewer collecting facility is prohibited. CHEMICALS MUST BE used in your holding tank to prevent clogging of the lines and to prevent odor. These products are non-toxic and actually break down waste and aids in the prevention of clogged lines. They do not contain formaldehyde. We have products in the store. This will help maintain our sand mound and prevent costly upkeep. A sewer seal must be used (available in store). Finally, all black and grey sewer valves must remain closed at all times, except when dumping. This will give the chemicals time to break down the solids.

Clotheslines and Laundry: Clotheslines are permitted for daytime towel drying only. NO clothes washing in the outside or inside bathhouse sinks.
