Dogwood Acres Campground offers a wide range of terrific campsites. Regardless of your style of camping and equipment, you are sure to be pleased. We have also established a set of policies and guidelines that help to assure every guest’s satisfaction with the camping experience by providing an environment where respect for fellow campers and responsible behavior are the rule, not the exception.
Campground Etiquette 101: Respect your site and your neighbors. Walk on roadways, not through people’s sites. |
Dogwood Property: If you see a problem at your site, notify us immediately. Any purposeful/accidental damage to sites – trees, tables, pedestals, etc. will be the responsibility of person(s) occupying the site. No hot BBQs/open flames near/on picnic tables. You may have 8 people at your site, including visitors. If there are disturbances that cannot be rectified, management has the right to ask campers to leave without refunds. |

Check-In/Check-Out Times: Check-in is at 2:00 PM. Check-out is 12:00 PM for rental cabins/rental trailers. Check out is 1:00 PM for trailer/tent sites. For early check-ins/late check-outs, please call for availability. |
Speed Limit is 6 MPH: Please drive slowly. It’s a campground, not a racetrack. |
Parking: One car per site unless specified by management. All additional vehicles park in visitor’s parking. |
Visitors: ALL VISITORS MUST REGISTER AT OFFICE. Please park vehicles in visitors parking. Visitors cannot bring pets. Day visitors must leave by 10:30 PM. Day Visitor Fee: 16 and over = $7.00, Children = $5.00, Thre and under = free! Overnight Visitor/Holidays: 16 and over = $10.00, Children = $7.00, Three and under = free! |
Security Gate: The main gate closes at 8:30 PM. Please obtain a gate key from the office for entry after 8:30 PM ($10 refundable deposit). |
Parental Responsibilities: Adults/Parents are responsible for the children camping with them at all times. Children should be at their sites by dark unless accompanied by an adult. Children must be supervised in the game room after 9:00 PM. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at fishing pond. Young children should be accompanied by an adult at the playground, walking around park, and restrooms. Playground and fishing pond are off limits after dark. |
Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10:30 PM – 8:00 AM. Please respect your neighbors. Unruly campers will be asked to leave. |
Sewage Disposal: PLEASE USE CHEMICALS TO AID WITH ODOR IN HOLDING TANK. When connected to our sewer: You must have a seal between our sewer and your hose. All valves must be closed until you dump, GRAY and BLACK! Please use RV/Marine toilet paper. No to: flushable wipes, paper towels, feminine products, bouncy balls, plastic bags ... you would not believe it! |
Pets: All pets must have updated shots and owners must have papers available if necessary. No aggressive breeds. Two dogs permitted per site. If your pet bites a person or an animal, it will need to leave the campground. If an incident occurs, pet owner(s) must fill out appropriate insurance forms at the office. Pets need to be kept on a 6 ft. leash, controlled, and respectful of neighbors. Please clean up after your pets and use our disposal pots. Do not leave pets unattended outside if you leave your site. Health Department prohibits pets on the playground, in the restrooms, and the store. |
Alcohol: Alcohol is permitted on your site. When walking around with alcohol, please use a koozie or cup. No underage drinking. Please drink responsibly. Violators will be asked to leave immediately. |
Firewood: Pennsylvania State law, no wood from other states/quarantined areas in the state. Protect our trees, keep the foreign bugs away. Firewood is sold at the store. |
Pool: Pool rules are posted at the pool. Under 17 must have adult supervision. Children in diapers MUST wear swimming diapers. |
Bicycle Riding: Bikes should be ridden on roadways. Pennsylvania State law requires children 12 and under to wear helmets when riding. Riding after dark must use lights. |
Rental Equipment & Life Vests: Rent paddle boats and pedal carts at the office. Adult must sign waiver. Life vests are available for children and those who cannot swim. If your Frisbee goes in the water, please come to office to sign waiver and obtain paddle for the boat. |
Fishing: Catch and Release. Please clean up after yourself around pond. |
Dog Park: The dog park is a designated area where dogs can be let off their leashes. Please read rules posted at the park and sign a waiver in the store. |
Trash Disposal: The dumpster is for household trash only. No bulky items, cardboard, metal, etc. |
Clotheslines and Laundry: Clotheslines are permitted for daytime towel drying only. No washing clothes in bathroom sinks, inside or outside. |
General Liability: All persons using the campground and your site agree to abide by and be subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations established for the use and occupancy of campgrounds. This property is privately owned. The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he/she does hereby forever release, hold harmless and indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees of any and all liability whatsoever for loss or damage to property and injury to his person arising out of his/her/its use of its camping facilities, and agree to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from the loss of damage to property or injury to the or any member of the family or guest of the registered Camper arising out of the use of its camping facility. |
